2010 WORKSHOP PRODUCTION BEGINS!!

Every Tuesday 5pm-6pm - Workshops have now started. The tutor for this term will be Mike. If you are aged between 8 years and 13 years (Inclusive) then please pop down to The Roundhouse Theatre at 5pm on Tuesday and sign-up. The cost is only £4 per hour session... Look forward to seeing you there!

History

Future Plans?

Blackfish Academy was formed in 2005. Our home is The Roundhouse Theatre based inside The Dover Discovery Centre situated in the heart of the town. Dover is traditionally the gateway to Europe and is currently undergoing a cultural revolution. We provide professional entertainment, community theatre and professionally run workshops in various disciplines of the performing arts, such as; Acting Techniques, Physical Theatre, Dance, Stage Combat, street theatre & Musical Theatre.

Our intention is to create a premiere arts and entertainment centre which provides people of all ages within the Dover area with a creative outlet for their energies, and a canvas for painting a future for the younger people. Our plans include; facility expansion to include an arts education academy; expansion of the community theatre project; formation of a drama company and dance troupe, development of a cabaret supper club/dinner theatre and creation of a strong employment and entrepreneurship training program.
